John Cusack(Edgar Allan Poe) is in pursuit of a serial killer that uses his works as a basis of a collection of brutal killings. He then join forces with a young detective to hunt down the killer. The stakes become even higher when it appears someone close to Poe may become the murderer's next victim, the inventor of the detective story calls on his own powers of deduction to try to solve the case before it's too late. The trailer for the film was first released online on 7 October 2011. This date is significant because it also marks the anniversary of Poe's death at age 40 in 1849.
